Round Two

I was blessed to go to the "Mother Town" or "Jewel of the West" as the locals like to call Parowan, for a Gladys and Lucius Benson family reunion. It was not as grand nor fun as the Jim and Peggy family reunion and there weren't many from "our" family there, but I'm there for support. It was cold and rainy and I had to wear a sweater with my shorts in AUGUST but the storm that night was amazing! I digress. Chris loves the apricot, (I must admit I have never bit into one, nor have I a peach. But that is a different story) so I went out to the the big old apricot tree and plucked a few. Ok I plucked a lot so I came home and I made....ta da, Apricot Jam.
This recipe was a little different so I'm not sure it turned out great but it was worth a go.
I do not color coordinate my shirt with what jam I will be making, it WAS just coincidence. If you happen to notice, which I'm sure you didn't, when I made strawberry jam I had a red shirt on. But since I've done it twice I think I may make it a tradition from now on.

Here is what is happening with Chris. He has NOT rescheduled a Dr.s appointment like I asked but he did go only 3 over par when he went golfing the other day. His skin hasn't looked yellowish to me in awhile so I guess that is a good sign. Although it didn't when he went for the test either.

Glad you went to support the reunion, I know that kinda stuff is important to the G'ma. Your apricot jam looks so good. Apricots are wondrous, you should really take up eating them.... And peaches too!

Aimee, Aimee, Aimee.... you do impress me all the way down to your culinary clothing coordination. The jam sounds amazing.
BTW- I hear your golf game improves if you see your doctor. I'm just sayin'...

You really have never eaten a peach?? How do I not know this? I can't keep up with you I made strawberry jam and now I have to do apricot.

I'm glad Chris isn't looking like his own kind of apricot either.

I cannot believe you have never eaten a fresh peach. You are missing out. I have a tree maybe you could come help me make some peach jam when they are ripe since you are the jam queen!!! It looks tasty!!

I'm commenting on your blog because you yelled at me for not. In my defence, I haven't been checking all the blogs lately. But I love your face! The jam looks wonderful and we need to play soon. The end.
