Fish & Liver

Lemon-Ginger Poached Halibut with Leeks and Spinach
We are trying to eat healthier for a number of reasons but mainly because of Chris' Crohns Disease. So this is what I made.
If you know my husband you know he is one of the pickiest eaters ever and HATES trying new things. He kept saying how good it was and making the "MMM..." sounds and I think he said, "Wow" I had to ask him repeatedly if he was messing with me because I was not impressed in the least. I like all of the ingredients but they didn't work together for me. I thought he was really trying to make me feel good but he at it all (except the Spinach, I am still working on getting him to eat his vegetables) anyway so I had mom come and taste mine and she and Chris split the rest of my portion. So I guess it was a success. Next time I only make one helping.

So Chris and I took matter into our own hands and he has started a "Liver Detox" which includes but is not limited to; Milk Thistle, Soy Lecithin, Dandelion Root, Artichoke Leaf, Green Tea Leaf, and Turmeric root. We found out Sat that Chris didn't have enough wrong with his internal parts and that we should now add Preliminary Liver Failure to the list. He has a really good attitude about it and is confident he will beat this one. I threatened his liver to straiten up and cooperate by punching his kidneys.
Feel Free to keep him in your prayers.

Oh my. Chris, please, we'll give you attention any way you want but leave your liver out of it!! Eat your spinach if you want a Popeye liver. All good thoughts and prayer being sent your way.
Aimee, I was salivating just looking at the picture. Delish!!!! Share the recipe please. Big hugs my dear.
