My sweetie and I have now officially been married for a year! (Okay it's a little late. One year on February 23rd) It has been a great year at that too. The above picture of my handsome husband is on the day of our anniversary. We decided to go visit "Frisco" a ghost town in South West Utah. We took Chris' GPS along as our map. Unfortunately it told us to turn at mile marker 122, bad news is that there was no road. So we took the closest exit which was Sulpherdale and headed West, because the GPS told us to. After driving about a half a mile from I-15 we encountered a wee bit of snow. Since we were in the Jeep and it has four wheel drive it didn't seem to be a problem, that and the snow only covered the road for about 100 yards. Little did we know that the road seemed to have dipped and what looked like level snow was not and we got stuck. Not just a little stuck I mean we opened the doors and the snow pack was level with the bottom of the door. We didn't have to step down just step strait out. My sweet husband spent the next two and half hours digging us out of the snow. Good thing he brought an extra change of pants, shoes and socks. He dug us out enough that we could now reverse our way back the way we came. After much cheering we were out. We got out to inspect how deep the snow had become when after a glance at the front of the Jeep and a few curse words it was discovered the front bumper of the Jeep was darn near dragged off and bent out and up. Chris went to work again and rigged the bumper back on so we could at least drive again. We finally made it to Frisco after stopping and asking directions. We wish we could have spent more time in the ghost town before it got dark but due to our previous adventure it was not to be. We will go back, and the lesson we learn from this story? Nothing beats a good old fashioned map! Sorry no pictures. I wasn't thinking real good and we took the batteries out for the GPS. If I knew how to edit my video camera I'd put it on but due to the Charlie Boorman language it is not suitable for children under 17. By the way Chris did not get angry once. No joke.
The day after our anniversary. We were able to go to dinner. We went to Outback for dinner because I had gift cards from Christmas and because we're wealth impaired we thought it would be a good idea to use them. Too bad I didn't notice they expired a week prior. Who gives out gift cards that expire? People who get them for free because they bought so much worth of real gift cards. Yeah, real nice.
My new car....A girl can dream can't she?
Since Chris sold his Harley for my wedding ring I told him he could have this one. Only if he could pay cash for it right then. It is only 1 million dollars! Thats a bargain being that its the only one in the World.

Happy Anniversary! Sorry about the snow adventure. I have seriously never heard of expired gift cards. I like your new car too, I think my husband would like to ride on the new motorcycle too! Congratulations!
I am glad that you have new pictures up and I had a lot of fun hanging out with you. I wish that I could write the way you do. Much Love!!
Ah, yes the Audi R8- someone here in Santa Monica has one and I've lusted after it more than once.
I think it sucks that Outback just wasn't cool enough to honor them anyhow!
Finally- I never trust my GPS system without first consulting a map. It has led me astray more than once!
I'm just glad the snow situation wasn't worse and you were able to get out. I'll just leave it at that. Personally - I've always been a map girl.
happy belated anniversary. I have been so bad at remembering things the last couple of months, but i am so happy for you guys!!! i love you both!
You have such an exciting first anniversary story! I hope the jeep came out of it all ok, but your adventure will make a funny story to re-tell over the years :)
