Don't Judge Us

(Not me.  I was taking the picture)

So a few weeks ago I was privileged to go welcome home 300 Utah National Guard home from serving in Iraq for over a year.  I went with some volunteers from work.  We were able to feed the soldiers and their families, and hand them yellow roses as soon as they stepped off the plane and say "Thank You"  What a great experience!  It was reaffirmed that I do not have a heart.  I believe I was the only one who didn't cry, I was happy okay. I smiled a lot if that counts.  It was so fun to see all the soldiers be reunited with their families.  The National Guard was so happy we volunteered and a girl I work with was able to pull enough food together for 1,000 people in 36 hours they invited us back for the Special Forces when they return.

Chris started school again and is the class leader for the last block.  I'm so proud of my husband.  He IS so smart.  He astounds me everyday with his good looks, witty conversation and sparkling personality. (or something like that)

We are also moving back to Lehi.  Crashing the parents for awhile longer.  It's hard to catch up on medical bills when he keeps having to go back.  He now has to go in for an MRI.  If his doctor wasn't 103 and would remember to call and schedule the appointment we would have it done by now and know what we need to do to fix him.  My mom said he's not supposed to be ill right now, it's not the holidays.  No worries he's not deathly ill.  They just took an X-ray of his back awhile ago and there were some black spots they couldn't make out and they just need a clearer picture.

Let's see.  My violin lessons are progressing.  My teacher always makes me feel better saying I'm progressing nicely.  But I get frustrated because I know I played better when I was five.  Oh well, I better go and practice or I may get in trouble.

Ah sweetie, your like the Tin Man... we know you've had a heart all along despite your protestations otherwise :-)
Violin lessons?!? You amaze me. I can still see you and Jenni carrying your little cases looking like Little Mafioso (as your mom and I loved to call you).
Keep us posted on Chris.
