Doings

The kittens absolutely love Chris and love crawling all over him.

How can you resist this face?
Chris is doing great in school and it's hard to believe he is almost done. Graduation is July 9th. He gets along great with all his fellow cadets and instructors. He likes to tease some of the instructors and will end up doing push ups for it. He is a great class leader and loves going to school. He comes home beat up sometimes but I'm sure he wouldn't trade it for anything.
I've been a volunteering fool. Not sure why really, we all know I'm not a nice person. Most of it has been with kids which is even more bizarre because I hate kids, they're stupid. Anyway I've done three family days with the Military where the parents are in counseling because their spouse just got back from war so we take the kids and build things. I've also gone fishing with mentally and physically disabled kids. That was fun because some kids would get frustrated quick that they weren't catching anything so we would distract them and someone would grab a fish from the farm, hook it on the end of the line, and toss it out into the lake. It was awesome to see how excited the kids would get. The most rewarding thing for me thus far was last Fri I did "Relay for Life" my shift was 12-3 am. you all know how I'm so good at staying awake past ten o'clock. I basically sped walked if I even tried to jog my pants would fall down because I threw Chris' sweat pants on (twas a chilly night) Although I had no walking buddy and my brain couldn't function for more than five mins at a time it was a good thing. I wasn't able to raise any money because our Internet was down. But I did it for my family members and three friends at work. Not much else to say.

Me thinks you protest too much on the hating the kids and not being a nice person. I thinks all the things you are doing are amazing I wish I did more.
